Something in the wind - ABARE report details significant activity in wind farm projects

There is certainly something in the wind, with over over 40 wind farms operating around the country, and another 130 projects either committed or proposed, according to the recent ABARE report of over 50 major wind projects in Australia.

The ABARE Electricity Generation Major development projects report, which details projects under construction, planned or in development, reports that Victoria, South Australia and NSW are the most favoured location for wind farm projects.

Whilst Tasmania, Queensland and Western Australia only have a handful of projects underway, more developments are anticipated in the future.
