Jonathan Upton - Managing Director
Indemnity Corporation Pty Limited

Jonathan has worked within the Insurance Broking industry for the past 38 years commencing in 1973 with what is today the largest global Broking operation, He was involved with a wide range of Corporate accounts, many of which are household names within Australian business.

In 1975 he operated as a Liability placing Broker at Lloyds of London and within the London company market, placing high risk global liability insurance programmes.

In 1979 he founded Indemnity Corporation to facilitate those clients, who recognised the importance of risk management principals, and desired a high level of personalised service, above and beyond what is traditionally offered in the local market.

Jonathan is also a director, and Board member of Steadfast Group Limited who are the largest facilitators of Insurance placement in Australia handling in excess of A$2.8 billion in insurance premiums.

Mark Wiseman - Director
Indemnity Corporation Pty Limited

Marks insurance career has spanned 35 years, with invaluable experience gained working with
a number of local and international risk and insurance orgnisations.

Mark has provided Account Management services for many of Australia’s well known brands.

With significant exposure to consumer and rural industry related accounts, Mark has built tremendous expertise working with these clients on their insurance and risk management requirements.

One of Mark’s particular strengths is his knowledge of Workers Compensation and the streamlining of clients local and national programmes to maximise rating structures and implement claims management solutions to contain premium costs and the impact of lost time injuries on their business.

Wendy Kelly - Director
Indemnity Corporation Pty Limited

Wendy commenced her career in Banking and Finance with Barclays Bank in the UK before moving into Investment Banking in the Middle East where she worked for Credit Suisse and Swiss Bank Corporation.

Wendy immigrated to Australia in 1988 where she commenced work with Natwest Australia Bank supporting a team of 5 Credit Managers.

In 1994 Wendy moved to the USA for a 3 year period where she gained experience in operations with
an Insurance Brokers based in New Jersey.

Upon returning to Australia in 1997 Wendy started work with Indemnity Corporation. Wendy has a Diploma in Accounting and Finance and over 20 years experience in business operations.

Wendy is responsible for the Financial Accounting, and Office Management of Indemnity Corporation and IndemnityLegal.

Kevin Gibbons - Principal & Director
Indemnitylegal Pty Limited

Kevin was formerly a Partner at Phillips Fox from 1985, and a Partner/Principal at McCabe Terrill Lawyers from 2003.

Kevin is a specialist in insurance law and the liability disciplines covered by liability insurance.

Kevin has been practising law for 33 years, the last 23 years exclusively in insurance related matters on instruction from insurers and insureds in respect of public liability, professional indemnity, products liability, property insurance and reinsurance.

He has acted in many significant insurance and liability cases including the Court of Appeal and in the High Court of Australia.
Kevin has given many presentations at insurance case conferences covering liability and insurance.

He was a state contributor to the Insurance Law Bulletin for over 10 years.
